Yes, this is a female and the other a male. And of course this and the other are adults. It is always a good idea to add that info when you have it. I did for you this time.

Moved from Tangle-veined flies. are you sure this is the same specimen as the other two photos to which it is tagged? notice the spacing between the eyes; this one might be the female and the other is the male

This was a different individual and I think it is a female. I have hopefully unlinked this picture from the others of the male.
