This guy was moving around so much and flying and settling and flying and settling, but even in the dark, I could tell he was interesting - I could see the flash of red at his neck. I got off this one shot, which, thankfully, was almost focused, but was very dark, so this is the result of some post processing to bring the details out. He wasn't very big, and kind of skinny. Maybe .5"? Never seen one like this before.

Was it your first time seeing one, too? I wish I'd gotten a better shot, but I looked all over after he took off and couldn't find him again.

I'm really amazed that we keep finding the same things on the same nights, or very close. Just because we don't live too far apart still doesn't seem like enough of a reason with the variety of bugs around here! =)
