will ask Dr Thomas to check, but feel quite confident about the ID

 
Ah ha!
I had looked at Silvanoprus too, but thought it looked more like a Silvanus. This is why I was just guessing :-P

I wanted to guess before V got to it :-P I'm thinking Silvanus. I'll wait to see what he says though, I might be way off.

Ahasverus rectus? Time of the year looks right, also.


 
Look at the pronotum
The Ahasverus isn't spiked like your specimen. Might just be something that varies in that genus though.
