Third instar - dorsolateral tubercules on first 4 abdominal segments orange, with orange "body" color extending slightly beyond them. Central tubercules on 1st segment orange with black tips; central tubercules on 4th segment orange at base, black above (1/3 orange, 2/3 black). Some orange body color on the 5th abdominal segment, extending slightly past black dorsolateral tubercules.

Plants: Maple (Acer sp.), chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum sp.), and lady's thumb/smartweed (Polygonum or Persicaria sp., taxonomy unclear). Whatever I found aphids on went into the lady beetle container!
