Fourth instar, lateral view - orange "body" color on 1st abdominal segment extends to base of central tubercules, and central tubercules on 4th and 5th segments are completely orange except for very fine black tips, only visible with magnification.
Prey: Aphid - I don't know what kind.
Plant: Lady's thumb/smartweed (Polygonum or Persicaria sp., taxonomy unclear), my main source of aphids in July.
