Another one from Pescadero - Liriomyza

Another one from Pescadero - Liriomyza
Pescadero, San Mateo County, California, USA
June 28, 2009
Size: Small
Any ideas on the ID of this fly? I'm having a hard time getting started with it. I'm guessing that's an ovipositor projecting out the tip of the abdomen.

This is another one from the edge of the intertidal zone of the marine estuary at Pescadero State Beach. It was perched on the blade of a native beach grass, Leymus mollis.

I hope my guess was right, but moving these images to "Flies" in hopes that an expert will get around to reviewing this section.

Hope realized...
...as usual, you were right :-) Genus Liriomyza confirmed by Owen Lonsdale.

Liriomyza?
One of the Leaf Miner Flies. Just a guess, of course...

Wow Harsi...
That was pretty darn fast! Thanks for your attention and effort here.

Your suggestion looks quite good to me. I actually did start to investigate the possibility of various fly families ending in ---"myzidae" (e.g Sciomyzidae, since this fly was right next to a marsh). But I'm a bit fatigued from working on other flies I've been posting. So I broke down and decided to take the "easy route" and just "ask BugGuide directly" :-)
