Chlaenius pusillus
based on comparing images to my reference specimens.
Ignore misspelling of species name below. I don't like order of images here and on the species Guide page, i.e., dorsal view should appear first. Is there a way to change order now or must the submitter simply remember to enter them in preferred order at the outset?

A case of Sherlock meets Freud.
Kidding aside, can editors change order of images after submission?
... just now thought of a way that even Watson would have deduced. Simply tag and deposit images to Guide in preferred order one at a time rather than tagging them all together once which is what I had done.

in fact,
the only way to do it consistently is the following: copy all the images to your computer, then edit each item in the series one by one to insert the pic that you want to be the first into the chronologically least recent form [you can't change the order defined by the 6-digit ##]; otherwise (the "unlink > tag > relink" protocol) the thumbnails will be rearranged below the large picture, but not on guide pages (in Recent of Images modes)
do i make sense? gotta run...

V, I could delete this node,re-submit to family page
in the preferred order if that would be better.

Johnny--
i'm 100% cool with it as is, i don't have a problem with the 'dorsal-lateral-ventral' pic order

clarification.
I too don't have a problem with dorsal-lateral-ventral order on the Guide page which is what the Guide page now magically shows! Thanks to whoever corrected this. I do, however, have a (minor) problem when dorsal view does not appear first in an image set on the Guide page.

intrinsic problem
in submissions, the first pic posted comes first; on guide pages, the thumbs go left to right in
reverse
chronology (the highest=latest 6-digit # on the left) -- we can't do anything about that

Chlaenius
- likely subgenus Anomoglossus based on image showing apparent elongated mandibles and if true, at or near C. pussilus based on relatively small size. These are nice scientifically displayed images but I much prefer instead of the side view a full ventral view which is often more helpful in carabid identification.
