Leafhopper - Hecalus major - female

Leafhopper - Hecalus major - Female
Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
September 1, 2005
Size: 7mm

Moved
Moved from Hecalus.

Hecalus female
Females of this genus have the wings slightly shorter than the body, and when gravid (full of eggs) the abdomen may stick out still further, as in this photo. The species is probably H. major, which has a very broadly rounded head.

Thanks
again Andy for all the leafhopper ID's.
