Bee fly - Bombylius

Size: about 1 cm
I've been seeing these for years, and assume they are common. Appears to be a Bee fly Bombylius major.

Moved
Moved from Greater Bee Fly. Almost certainly not B. major, which flies early in the spring. Needs checking by an expert.

Moved
Moved from Flies.

Check Bee Flies
With the long beak and hair it could be a Bee Fly(1).

Agreed
Looks identical to others identified as Bombylius major. Will try to move it as soon as I figure out how.
