This does not have the turkey drumstick size hind femora, so I might not even be in the
right universe.

Either Melanophthalma or Cortinicara
I really can't see the important features to distinguish between the two genera, unfortunately. But it certainly is in the right Subfamily! And please keep noticing the small things :-)
