Found on a road in a wooded suburban neighborhood. Captured and posed. Body length was 27 mm, head-to-wingtips, 40 mm, forewing length about 31 mm. Timbals (paired resonating structures at base of abdomen, on underside) indicate this is a male, I believe.
This reminds me of another cicada found dead in virtually the same location exactly two years earlier:
