Yellow Moth with Orange Markings - Sparganothis unifasciana

Yellow Moth with Orange Markings - Sparganothis unifasciana
Springfield, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
June 20, 2009
Attracted to porch light. If this can help, the length of the moth was 14mm (not wingspan). Thanks for the ID.

Hi
please rotate photos so that moths are positioned head up--makes it easier for other members to help you find an ID b/c all the comparison photos will also be head up.

Sorry
I saw a post where someone (Bob Patterson) had said up or facing right. I will post up from now on.

Head up mostly
with a few that go to the right, when the identifying features are better seen from a side view, like grass veneer moths
