Lynette, while I noticed that you didn't put the "tag" Mike asked for on every page of the same specimen, I'm wondering if this might not be a good candidate as the view of the wings ventral vs. dorsal is *very* different. :) What do you think?

& yes I do think they might turn brownish with wear & tear.

I snagged a picture of one also, but it was brown, tan, and orange rather than the brilliant black and orange like yours. I didn't even notice it was the same butterfly. They turn brown with wear and tear??

the older ones get faded and torn up. Yours had a nice green tint on the body.
