A couple of these were patrolling along the 1200 Road on the north side of Pack Forest. This one stopped to take fluids from gravel, I believe, so it is likely a male.
I know this is a common western species, but, being an Easterner, I was really excited to get a good photo opportunity. The last one I saw was in 1993, and posted to BugGuide in 2004, our first photo of the species:

Thank goodness for digital--it is much easier to get decent photos now than back then!
