Size: a little less than 2 cm.
I've been seeing this beetle (or one that looks just like it) on one or another of a group of milkweed plants for several days. (Size given does not include antennae.)

...do. they eat instar 2 monarch catepillars? Trying to figure out where my only baby disapeared to... :(
