Size: ~15mm (body length)
This was a very plain skipper with no markings that I could really see. I'm thinking it might be Euphyes vestris.

The other photo didn't help, but I see the Northern Broken Dash doesn't go to CO. I think you're right on the ID. Those would be the only two candidates in my area and they vary so much I usually need good dorsal photos to be sure. But close enough for now.
