Stagmomantis californica? - Stagmomantis californica - female

Stagmomantis californica? - Stagmomantis californica - Female
Encino, Los Angeles County, California, USA
September 4, 2005
Size: 2 inches+
On Myrtle (Myrtus communis 'Compacta') in my front yard.

I've seen green individuals in years past, but the two I've seen this year are tan (the flash washed out the color a bit).

Moved
Moved from Mantidae.

Female
This one is a female, as the wings don't reach the tip of the abdomen.
