yes, Limnesia
You're correct, this is a Limnesia sp. (Hygrobatoidea: Limnesiidae). The arrangement of the eyes, with the two lenses of each eye widely spaced and the overall appearance being one of evil intent, is common in members of this genus. They are quite ferocious, so the look matches the behaviour.

Water mite
I think it would be very helpful to create a superfamily-level page for "Water Mites." Water mites are very diverse with many superfamilies, and their higher systematics is in a turbulent state of flux. However, similar to "moth," most people can identify the level of "water mite" without placing to a superfamily. I think a "water mite" taxon page would make browsing easier, and allow images like this to be put there (as opposed to mixed in with unsorted "Acari" images) until a water mite taxonomist can help out, or until I learn them myself :) This means the following superfamilies would be lumped into this artificial group: Arrenuroidea, Hydrachnoidea, Hydryphantoidea, Lebertioidea, Hygrobatoidea. I think this would help clean up the unsorted images in the "Acari" taxon page.
