UI Noctuid 071809-1 - Caenurgina crassiuscula
Royalston, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
July 18, 2009
Unfortunately, not a pristine individual.

ID help appreciated.

Moved
Moved from ID Request. From the info page: Adult: two dark bands on each forewing almost touch each other near the midline, and the inner (or more basal) band touches the inner margin [whereas in Caenurgina erechtea, the bands do not touch each other near the midline, and the inner (or more basal) band does not touch the inner margin] May Bob strike me down if I'm wrong. :)

Thanks to you both, James and Lynette.
I trust Bob hasn't struck you down, Lynette. I believe you've got the correct ID as I looked at the info page also and followed the link to the comparison of the two. Caenurgina crassiuscula seems correct.

oops
Sorry-double post. Is there any way to eliminate a reply?

I am by no means an expert so I could be wrong.
