uncooperative dagger? - Acronicta marmorata

uncooperative dagger? - Acronicta marmorata
Wolf Creek, Josephine County, Oregon, USA
July 19, 2009
Didn't want to cooperate with me at all, jumped around and tried to throw itself in the toilet.
Seriously, is this the marble dagger Hodges#9256 (Acronicta marmorata)? seems there are several real close.

Acronicta marmorata
Yes - there are a number of species that look much alike in this group, but the locality alone separates it from it from the others in its species-group (ie. marmorata, brumosa, afflicta, literata). Marmorata it is.
