tarantula hawk
Looks like this Pepsis, but it's probably a different one. This one appears to have fatter antennae than yours. I think it's safe to call it a tarantula hawk, even safer, spider wasp.

It is not Pepsis...
probably
Entypus
, but narrowing down to species is much tougher in Texas than here in my area in the east. It's probably not possible to ID from this image.

Pompilid -- Entypus sp.?
Definitely a spider wasp, I'm leaning towards Entypus which I occasionally see here in Houston. Hopefully one of our pompilid guys will see this.
