Brachiacantha at the very lea
Brachiacantha at the very least, not sure which one yet, Maybe Brachiacantha testudo Mike Quinn's image in the good looks similar. Someone will probably get there before I do :)

Brachiacantha or Hyperaspis
There are a few Hyperaspis sp that do a great job looking like the Brachiacantha ursina group. H. troglodytes is one of them. The type can be seen under
H. discreta LeConte
from the MCZ.
I believe B. testudo is a Texas-only species. And the rest of the Brachiacantha should be a bit oranger in the spots, at least the ursina group.
If we can get a image of the pro-tibia, Brachiacantha will have a point or hook on the outer edge (seen here
, while Hyeraspis will not.
H. troglodytes is found scattered through the Northeast and upper mid-west. And it's spots tend to be more yellow as seen here. This one appears to be a female (from the pronotum coloration) which just makes everything more difficult.

Lady Beetle
I've moved this back to the family level. I didn't get a good shot of the pro-tibia so can't help there.
