Just thought I'd mention that this looks like a lot of the Lobiopa undulata that I've found in NM (I don't have any from the Chiricahuas). However L. falli is quite similar according to Barron. The size range doesn't overlap, undulata is less than 5.3 mm whereas falli is greater than 5.3 mm. Other differences are subtle and not seen in this photo.

I've measured several individuals
they are all larger than 5.5mm - so I think it has to be L. falli

yes
I checked all my L. falli and undulata and they separate easily by size. The other falli criteria (from Parsons, NOT Barron!) are qualitative; scutellum more transverse, punctures on underside more coarse, and shape more oval. I suppose that is all true, but awkward if you don't also have an undulata in front of you. I'd go with falli based on size.

I'm glad you say that
qualitative criteria are for people with either a lot of experience or a great collection to compare.
