This bee with several others of the same kind are feeding on and guarding two large Lemon Queen sunflower plants.

Thanks for your help. I just uploaded a photo of a similar bee taken July 1. The earlier bee was less hairy and his "horns" are black in contrast to the reddish-brown "horns" in this photo. Looks to be related.
