This is my question: Is this a Red Milkweed Beetle? Usually the spots on elytra don't create a black blob, they are separate. I have already discovered that I have Blackened Milkweed Beetles in the backyard, so is this another species? Compare with:

Just a case of species variability.
Look for more to photograph and you'll get a range of spot size.
