Eristalis arbustorum - female

Eristalis arbustorum - Female
Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada
September 6, 2005
Size: 1/2 approximately
This looks very much like an image I previously posted but the abdomen markings are slightly different. I don't know at this point how much variation there is within a species.

Yes!! Eristalis arbustorum
It is a Eristalis, and in this case it is a female of Eristalis arbustorum.
Very characteristic is the face without the black stripe from mouth edge to antenna!
Greetings,
Gerard Pennards

Thank you very much Gerard.
