Belly Looks Right
As you recommended a ventral shot for ID, I found a post showing the belly. The under chassis of this Florida specimen looks right.
While the pronotum lacks the reddish points, I have noticed that specimens having the red tips are all north of Carolina. Specimens from Texas, Louisiana and Florida all lack these tips. Perhaps these are a southern subspecies.
