Melissodes bimaculata - Melissodes bimaculatus - Female
Arvada, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA
July 23, 2009
Size: abt 1 cm.
This black bee just showed up in the gardens this week after a disastrous wind and hail storm on 7/20. The bees went from feast to famine in the gardens - most of the flowers were destroyed.
