could this be B. circumdata?
I have just found what I think is a B. circumdata in North Carolina.


To me, Tom Murray's image looks like it matches Yanega's description (1) (1) of B. circumdata:
Smaller and paler than other members of genus. Note strongly tapering pronotum and strong "neck"...."Easily separated from the lightest individuals of B. vagans and B. champlaini by the much less divergent elytral tips, which are also darkened."

This is certainly a confusing group, and I am not claiming any special expertise!
