Colorado Hairstreak: Color Is Off - Hypaurotis crysalus - Male

BugGuide has only one (underside) image of this species. The color is off for both images; correct color is purple. This individual was found dead in the water of a small creek. I was having trouble getting the color right so I extracted the butterfly and tried to splay it out on a leaf. Species is associated with Gambel's Oak.
