Spittle bug - Aphrophora

Spittle bug - Aphrophora
Elkton, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
May 28, 2009
Size: approx 4mm
I would think I'm not too far out on a limb if I guess this is a spittle bug. Any suggestion as to which one?

Moved from Spittlebugs.

Moved from ID Request. Andy H. can find them here more easily.

ID request
it's actually easier for me to find them under ID request than from individual family groupings; I didn't discover this one until more than half a year later, too late to ask for you to watch for the adult (possibly an Aphrophora)

Aphrophora
I did find an adult Aphrophora (actually two) about two weeks later on the same blackberry patch.

Aphrophora
yes

Ok
Thanks for letting me know. ID Request is a lot cleaner now too.
