Herd Creature - Stimulopalpus japonicus

Herd Creature - Stimulopalpus japonicus
Great Falls Park, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
July 23, 2009
Size: 1-2 mm
Hiking through the woods, over rocks, I disturbed a whole herd of these little tiny dust specks, sending them zipping across a large rock surface. They were so small and fast I couldn't tell what they were, even with my face close to the rock, so I pulled out the camera and got this shot.

Is it a psocid nymph?

a nymph of Stimulopalpus japonicus
Ed Mockford det.
