Goldenrod gall fauna, an adult - Female

Size: 2 mm
It came out of one of the little goldenrod blister galls I collected on 7/22/09.
It could be from one of these pupae.
The amazing thing about this little fellow is that I chilled it, then froze it, then froze it for several minutes and finally, since it continued to be active, I dropped it in alcohol for a few minutes. The next day it was walking around.
From one of these galls
I found two more specimens, a little smaller than this one.

Eulophidae…
Classic eulophid including the dark metallic coloration, subtriangular prepectus, short-segmented antennae, 4-segmented tarsi, the axilla extending forward past the tegula, and the scutellum with a pair of submedium longitudinal lines. All these details can be seen here. This is a female. Many species are associated with galls, some even have 'gall' as part of the species name. Nice example which can be used as a reference for this subfamily. Thanks Beatriz.

Now I will be able to sort out some of these tiny wasps. It is such an amazing ecosystem: the gall makers and the parasitoids, and several other types of galls, and aphids always hanging around. I wish that more bugguiders took notice; we could get lots of images of different creatures.
Now, if we could figure out which pupa belongs to whom. . . I have a few more images beside the ones that I posted. Should I go ahead and add them?
