hi my name is cody iam from kansas and i have found one of these in my basement and at first i thought it was a spider. i was going to kill it then i look at it and it was some thing way diffrent. so i put it in a contaner and stared looking on sites to find out what it was. i saw one on tv but thay did not say any thing about it. it was in some kind ok cave but it was like way bigger than this one here. and i was wanting now more about them if you know any sites let me know

Scutigera coleoptrata (L., 1758). This is believed to be a European species that has been introduced into North America by man and now occurs throughout the continent. It is often found inside houses in damp, cool spots, like in bathtubs, sinks & drains, and cellars.
