This is a species that is being described by Dr. Thomas J. Walker at the University of Florida - Gainesville. He is co-editor of the Singing Insects of North America site. This tree cricket is new to the U.S. It had been discovered back in the 1960's by Dr. Richard D. Alexander, but never described. It really is a handsome tree cricket.
