It has the green metallic she
It has the green metallic sheen and the base of the abdomen is yellow, that is enough to narrow it down to two species, but then I would need a pic of the underside of the abdomen, and I guess you did not take one...

This is the largest Syrphid I've knowingly seen, by far - those I'm familiar with are the little black-and-yellow hoverflies.
