Camo moth - Eumorpha pandorus

Camo moth - Eumorpha pandorus
Timonium , Baltimore County, Maryland, USA
July 27, 2009
Size: 3 inches
This was on my patio door at night. Like many moths that get attracted to my living room light. I have never seen a pattern like this before on the moths in my area they are usually brown. I am in a pretty populated neighborhood but I have about three trees in front of my apartment window.

Found a Camo moth on base today
It was beautiful. I had never seen one before. It was laying on the concrete so I picked it up with a plastic card and moved him to the shade in the grass. really cool insect.
