Eucerini male
probably Peponapis pruinosa

Other flowers
So, Peponapis pruinosa visits other flowers, not just squashes? Is this a male?

male (and female) bees visit many flowers for nectar
in addition to the pollen source(s) of females

Maybe it's desperate!
I run a 1/3 acre test gardens for a flower seed company. We have a large diversity of flowers and bees in the gardens. We had a major hail storm on July 20th, and most gardens were wiped out. Perhaps this bee is in a desperate situation and cannot find the flowers it normally frequents. Most of Arvada was hit hard in this hail storm, and there are very few flowers around to visit. What do you think?
