Eastern leaf footed bug nymphs -
Leptoglossus phyllopus
Henryetta, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, USA
September 10, 2005
I have seen Eastern Leaf footed bugs mating on this trumpet vine.
Are these eastern leaf footed bug nymphs?

Looks like it to me,
compare my image below, which I know for a fact shows Leptoglossus nymphs

By far the best confirmation, in my view,
is to go back to see the adults later on. I do this a lot, as most of my photographs are taken in my back yard, or near where I used to work. The good thing about plant-feeding bugs is they tend to stay on the same plant all the way to adulthood unless something dramatic happens to disturb them - they don't have wings, so relocating is a big effort, I guess. I think it's funny how they always duck around to the back side of the plant when they notice me looking, though!

This group dispersed after I took the picture but I do have eastern leaffooted bugs on the vine and I have not seen any other type of leaffooted bug on this plant.
