This is part of the Handbook of Zoology series. This volume covers Elateroidea, Bostrichiformia and Cucujiformia partim. A small number of taxonomic changes have taken place at the family level, particularly Mauronischidae and moving Pterotinae from Lampyridae into Elateriformia Incerte Sedis. Endecatomidae is once again recognized as a family in the volume as well.
