Brown Spider - Pisaurina mira

Brown Spider - Pisaurina mira
Elysburg, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA
July 27, 2009
Large, brown spider found along a dirt road in state forest lands. Quite a bit larger than the funnel weavers I'm used to seeing there.

Moved from Nursery Web Spiders. Using the PDF which shows six variations for mira, I think this is variation #5.

Moved from ID Request.

for the ID, Folks. I wouldn't have thought it a nursery web.

Nursery Web
Looks like one of the Nursery Web spiders from Pisauridae.

Not sure which species. It's a color/pattern I've not quite seen. Some of the markings are similar to Pisaurina mira, but the colors are different. Either a different species or strange colorform maybe.

I'd like to hear other thoughts.

Nursery web spider.
This appears to be in the genus Pisaurina, and probably not a mature individual. Very interesting markings!
