Mottled Rustic - Caradrina morpheus

Mottled Rustic - Caradrina morpheus
New Jersey, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada
July 1, 2005
On old barn door at night. A poor photo but it's the only one I got. This Eurasian species was accidentally introduced to both coasts of North America. The faint reddish-orange streak running throught the orbicular and reniform spots is distinctive. ID based on images linked to in Guide.
