Alder sawfly - Eriocampa ovata

Rick and Libby found this cluster of sawfly larvae on a young alder on the road to the falls. We're hoping they'll have better images when they get around to posting but we wanted to get this up until then.

Eriocampa ovata (L.)
Tenthredinidae, Allantinae. With the flaky white bloom and feeding on alder, it has to be E. ovata.
