Size: approx 10mm
July 31, 2009:

The Sawfly pupa shed its skin. Unfortunately, when I went back to check on it a few hours later, I inadvertently squashed the poor little fellow. It was like losing a pet at your own hand.

Oh well, guess it's back to the drawing board.

August 1, 2009:

While out on my daily Bugtography, I picked up two more pear slugs. Once they get caught up to this one, I'll link them to this post.
