Callibaetis
This female imago is probably C. ferrugineus ferrugineus.

what's in a name?
One comment says it's a mayfly, one says this latin name-are they the same?

A kind of mayfly
Callibaetis ferrugineus is a particular kind of mayfly, the same way Homo sapiens is a particular kind of mammal.

There is a genus of mayflies called Baetis. The prefix "calli-" comes from a Greek word for "beatiful" and is applied to the nicer-looking forms of many animals.

Thank you for that! I really
Thank you for that! I really appreciate your efforts on this site! My kids now ask for the camera for every bug they find so they can find out what it is! It's cool to see them so inspired!
