Moved
Moved from Apateticus lineolatus.

I've spent some time on this one, I'm fairly certain it is Podisus serieventris. I took a very similar looking one from northern Arizona that I thought was A. lineolatus as well. In that third photo, we can see between the hind coxae. If this were A. lineolatus, there would be a large spine protruding between them, much like in P. maculiventris. This has the short spine and leg coloring that match serieventris.

Apateticus lineolatus [although not known from Colorado!]

Moved from Podisus.

These guys are still predatory though, right?
Just looking at the rostrum, it seems pretty robust.

sure, and closely related to Podisus

Podisus
any all-important ventral shots?

Not Exactly
Just one semi-head-on from underneath. This guy was not cooperative.
I'm very happy with a genus if it comes to that. Thanks.

you may be happy alright, but...
...please keep in mind that my own happiness is also a major factor at play -- and the 'partial ventral' shot you've added is a good way to ensure it :-]
(now i can show the pix to a specialist and expect a name)

That black line where the wing membranes meet...
Makes me think Podisus too...
