Unknown - Melacoryphus lateralis

Size: 1/4 in.
I looked over the website hoping to identify this guy. The closest that I could find to this was genus largus of the bordered plant b bug. However, none of them seemed to be an exact match so I thought it was time to ask for help. In one of the two pictures I attached they seemed to be interested in the nectar of the plants I found them on. The plants were also loaded with Oleander aphids. I first thought that they may be assassin bugs but they seemed not to have any interest in the aphids.

Milkweed
The plant is a species of milkweed (Asclepias), which would also explain the presence of oleander aphids. According to the PLANTS database, there are 28 species in Arizona, including several with narrow leaves.
