Separated from Eudarcia simulatricella by the following: "All wing markings narrower, more oblique, especially noticeable in the first and second costal spots and the first dorsal spot, which is farther removed from the base; the costal spot before the apex is small and inconspicuous, simply oblique..." (2)

Range

Scattered records from the eastern half of the United States, west as far as Oklahoma. (3)

Type locality: Kentucky.

Life Cycle

Chambers (1873) reported the larvae in silken cases on stone walls and cemetery monuments. (1)
