Found this pupa in a rotten tree stump. There were a lot of bess beetles in the stump as well. Thought maybe this could be the pupae of one of them. Does anyone know for sure.

So I was right in guessing the bess beetle then? I thought it probably was, since there are tons of them as grubs and adults in the stump.
