Tan Stink Bug: Podisus, Euschistus or Brochymena? - Euschistus tristigmus

Tan Stink Bug: Podisus, Euschistus or Brochymena? - Euschistus tristigmus

I interupted this beetle mating with another on a Passionflower vine. They are quite common in South Florida but a cursory search has turned up nothing so far.

Euschistus.
I'd vote for Euschistus. Some species have pretty "spikey" shoulders, and Podisus tends to be a little more elongate, usually with darker markings in the wing membrane.

ok..
Care to comment on this one, as a comparison to this one? Are they the same species do you think?

To me...
....yes, they are both stink bugs, but not the same type. I have a hard time deciding between the 3 I listed, but am leaning towards Menecles now.

It's not a beetle
It's a stink bug.

Okay...
...that would explain why I couldn't find it with the beetles. Thanks Lynette.
